I'm Not Too Sure That I Exist

I point out, first, that what we see is not out there, but rather inside our heads; and second, that what seems to be out there, is mostly not there anyway. I refer, not to the abstruse ontological speculations of philosophers, but to sound scientific notions. Unfortunately, it is not immediately obvious what we can conclude scientificially from this knowledge, other nothing is even remotely what it appears to be.


Kills All Known Germs

Our antipathy to the world of microbes, encouraged by advertising, is detrimental to public heath. We would be better advised to culivate the microbiome on our bodies in a manner akin to gardening, rather than napalm the entire garden. We so often hear the word 'natural' these days in a way that implies something inherently better for you.
